How to Get a Montana Plumber License

1. Meet one of the following experience requirements:
   1. Journeyman:
      1. Have 5 years experience in the field of plumbing OR
      2. Have completed an approved apprenticeship program
   1. Master:
      1. Have 4 years experience as a licensed journeyman, with 3 of those years either working for a Master plumber or in a supervisory capacity
2. Complete and submit an application for licensure
3. Wait for board approval then take and pass your exam
