How to Get a Utah Master Plumber License

1. Meet the minimum experience requirements (see below)
2. Submit a completed application and fees to the Utah DOPL
3. Take and pass the Utah plumbers exam

• Master Experience
  • Have been a licensed journeyman for at least 2 years with a minimum 2 years supervisory experience OR
  • Have received an associate degree in applied science and have a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience as a licensed journeyman plumber
• Master Residential Experience
  • Have been a licensed residential journeyman for at least 2 years with a minimum 2 years supervisory experience
